Maslin

Maslin is a masculine name of Old French origin that has traveled throughout the US and Australia as a handsome British surname. Brought to life in England during the Norman Conquest of 1066, Maslin derives from the French Mescelin or de Meschines, possibly from the Germanic Mathalgar, or may even originate from Old English itself. Popularly believed to mean “little Thomas,” the evidence to support this is quite lacking. Maslin is, however, a type of bread made from rye and wheat and the name of a drinking cup.
