Punthea

With a name like Punthea, your little one will learn to focus only on things that bring them encouragement, joy, and contentment. While this moniker is said to mean "gentle spirit" in the Cambodian language of Khmer, this is a little difficult to confirm. The Khmer word for "spirit" is prɔlɨng, spelled ព្រលឹង in traditional characters. Though this seems a little different to Punthea, an alternative transcription could create the same definition. According to Cambodian culture, the human body is inhabited by 19 major and minor souls, so naming your child Punthea could encourage them to showcase their softer, sweeter side. Punthea also bears striking similarity to Panthea, a Greek name meaning "all goddess."
