Kraft Heinz, the maker of flavored juice drink Capri Sun, has issued a voluntary recall of more than 5,760 cases of the brand’s Wild Cherry drinks after cleaning solution was found in the pouches.

According to a release by Kraft Heinz, the recall was issued after the company received several consumer complaints about the taste of the affected product. Capri Sun is actively working with retail partners and distributors to remove the impacted products from circulation.

Kraft Heinz believed that a diluted cleaning solution was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of their factories that makes the Wild Cherry drinks. The only products that are affected are the Wild Cherry Pouches with the “Best When Used By” date of June 25, 2023.

If you have purchased a contaminated case Capri Sun asks that you do not drink it and return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund. You can contact Kraft Heinz from 9-6pm EST, Monday through Friday, at 1-800-280-8252 to see if your product is part of the recall and to receive reimbursement.

Visit the Kraft Heinz website for more information about the recall.
