“This story is totally false.”

When Meghan Markle descended upcon NYC for a star-studded baby shower, the rumor mill was running rampant. After closely analyzing the décor, lots of people were convinced they knew the sex of the royal baby. But sources close to the Duchess of Sussex say Markle is paying little mind to baby’s sex, and plans to raise her child with a gender neutral approach, Vanity Fair reports.

“Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was ‘fluid,’” a source tells Vanity Fair. “She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes.”

Kensington Palace, however, reportedly slashed these claims, referring to them as “totally false.”

The Duchess has been doing things her own way ever since she stepped into her royal title, which according to reports, has caused some tension within. Back in December, it was rumored that Markle was considering a home birth and that the Queen was less than thrilled. And last month’s unconventional baby shower in the states likely caught some royals a bit off guard.

Regardless of whether the latest talk of the town is true or false, all that matters is the Duke and Duchess raise their child however they think is best. The most important thing is baby is safe, happy and loved.
