Abran

Abran is a boy’s name of Hebrew origin. As a variant of Abraham, originally Abram, the moniker enjoys an association with one of the most important figures in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.  This is made all the more apparent with its meaning “father of many,” which refers to the multitude of nations and peoples that claim lineage to the patriarch and prophet. May 8th is also celebrated as 6th-century Irish Saint Abran’s feast day. It’s said that he and his siblings were all sainted for their positive spiritual guidance. Whether you’d like to underline the importance of family and faith or you simply wish your child to be a vessel and a mouthpiece for good and change, choosing Abran almost feels like deja vu.
