Airlie

Airlie is a modern appellation whose possible roots are intertwined in Irish and Old English. A form of the surname Earley or Early, gender-neutral Airlie may stem from the Irish O'Maolmocheirghe or O'Mulmohery, which loosely translates to “early riser.” Adding to that, the Old English Eorlic could, too, have inspired Earley—an Anglo-Saxon nickname used to describe those who were “manly” by nature. Airlie may also simply be a blend of “Air” with a sweet “-lie” ending, granting your little nature nymph a name of the elements.
