Akiva

Akiva is a gorgeous, modern-sounding name with Hebrew origins given to both girls and boys. Despite being around for decades, especially within the Jewish community, Akiva’s ability to roll off the tongue has made it a hit. An Aramaic version of Jacob, this title means “holder of the heel” or “supplanter.” One famous Akiva is Akiva Schaffer, who has written for Saturday Night Live, directed for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and helped produce the Lego Movie soundtrack.
