Amitola

One of myriad beautiful Native American names, Amitola means "rainbow." Throughout various Indigenous cultures, rainbows are heavily symbolic. Occasionally meaning the "border of the sun's coat" or the "path of the Yei," or even simply a lesson of camaraderie and peace, the rainbow has been deeply beloved for centuries. Predating plenty of other civilizations, rainbows have been—and are still—used in sacred sandpaintings, serving as guardian encircling it. Rainbows have meaning upon meaning, and giving baby a connection to such traditions will have lasting impacts on their life.
