Antwan

Antwan is an American variant of the French boy’s name Antoine, which derives from the Latin Antonius meaning “highly praiseworthy.” Used most commonly in the US, Antwan happily remained in the Top 1,000 name charts from the 70s to 2010. Since then, it’s declined in use, but there’s no doubt it’s due a comeback. A famous namesake is rapper, actor, producer, and Outkast member Antwan André Patton, better known by his stage name Big Boi.
