Benett

Benett is a Hungarian form of Bennett, initially a medieval variation of Benedict. This spelling was more common in England until the 18th century, and modern use may also be influenced by the surname Bennett, which derives from the medieval name. From the Late Latin name Benedictus, Benett means "blessed" and comes from the Latin root benedicĕre, meaning "blessed" or "full of blessings." Although Benett is rarely used as a given name, it gained public recognition as a surname through figures like British suffragette and Women's Freedom League treasurer Sarah Benett, and French artist Léon Benett.
