Dayah

Dayah is a feminine name of Hebrew origin that means “bird of prey.” Birds of prey are symbols of freedom and vision as they can fly high and get a broader picture of the world. It is an alternative way of spelling Daya which has both Hebrew and Hindi roots and means “compassionate” or “kind.” Daya is one of the five fundamental teachings of the Sikh religion, as well as truth, contentment, love, and humility.
