Granya

Granya is a fun, clever little variant of the Irish title Grainne. Grainne is a name that is popular throughout the island of Ireland and is a famous name through Irish legend. Derived from the term grán, the title means “grain,” however, Grainne could also derive from gráin, which means “hatred” or “fear.” Grainne, in Iish legend was the lover of Diarmuid. Another famous bearer of the title is Gráinne Ní Mháille, famously known as the pirate queen. With a bounty of strong female namesakes, little Granya is in good company.
