Herculie
he-rcu-lie,
her-culie
Origin:Greek
Meaning:Hera's glory
While the gender-neutral name Herculie is similar to Hercules, its heroism lies in its uniqueness. As a Latinized form of the Greek Herakles, Herculie means "glory of Hera," referring to the queen of the gods in Greek mythology. Hera's story intertwines with that of Hercules, the famed hero of Greek and Roman legend. According to tradition, Hera wasn't thrilled at the news of baby Hercules' impending arrival and actually tried to prevent his birth. In Disney's Hercules movie, Hera was a loving mother to her half-god half-mortal son. Every time your little champion finishes in first place or achieves a long-awaited milestone, you'll know you chose their name well.
