Impa

Impa is a modern name created for the Nintendo franchise, The Legend of Zelda. A Sheikah family name given to female characters throughout the games, Impa is a recurring figure who helps Link and Zelda in their many quests to save Hyrule. Impa is often an old lady but is sometimes depicted in her youth. No matter her age in any LOZ game_,_ Impa is a consistent source of knowledge and protection for our two heroes, often the one starting Link on his journey. Creator Shigeru Miyamoto shared in the Hyrule Historia that Impa’s name comes from the word “impart,” as her role imparts the Legend of Zelda. Dynamic and heroic, Impa is more than a nod to your favorite video game and will flow well with the fantasy-style names taking the world by storm.
