Israil

Israil is the Arabic form of Israel, a masculine name with Hebrew origins. Meaning “fighter of God” or “he who wrestles God,” Israil is linked to the biblical figure Jacob. After a conflict with a mysterious divine being, Jacob is renamed Israel to symbolize his transformation as a person. This pivotal moment is followed by the mending of his relationship with his twin brother, Esau, and returning home to Canaan. Israel/Jacob’s children would later create the 12 Tribes of Israel. Israil can be a nod to faith or heritage and a reminder that facing your fears can bring you closer to your destiny.
