Kalu

Kalu is both a masculine forename and a surname originating in the eastern part of Nigeria. Among the Igbo people, Kalu refers to the traditional Igbo God of thunder and lightning, Kamalu, later shortened to Kalu. Nigerian international footballer Samuel Kalu Ojim proudly carries the name as he represents the land of his birth. Samuel has played many times for Nigeria, scoring two goals, both winners against Libya and Benin.
