Laquesha

A variant of Laquisha or Laquiesha, Laquesha is a girl's name with roots that run deeper than you might expect. All three of these monikers are said to stem from Lakeisha, an American title that combines the prefix La- with Keisha. It's through Keisha that Laquesha's main definition arises, as it comes from Keziah, a Hebrew name meaning "cassia" or "cinnamon." The cassia, or the Chinese cinnamon, as it's also known, is an evergreen tree with a very aromatic bark. Cassia spice is sourced from this bark, so if you're a fan of baking, cooking, or preparing hot spiced drinks, you may have even tasted it!
