Lexine

While not the most common feminine name, Lexine is certainly one of the more honorable. An interesting evolution of the Greek names Alexandra and Alexander, Lexine means "protector of man" or "defender of man." Most often interpreted as mankind, Lexine has a heroic air and a sense of greater goodness. By virtue of its uniqueness, Lexine does not share direct associations with the many emperors and saints who bore the original title. Perhaps that is Lexine's superpower.
