Other Origin(s):Latin, Spanish
Orazia is a girl's name of Italian and Spanish origin, taken from the Roman family name Horatius. Although it means "hour" or "time," the greatness that awaits your tiny tot just can't be anticipated by the ticking of a clock. In 1546, poet Pietro Aretino published a play named Orazia that would later be considered one of the best Italian tragedies ever written. Orazia was also the name of a protagonist in Sir Robert Howard's 17th-century opera The Indian Queen. Every season is one for sweet success with a name like Orazia!
