Tammany

Tammany is a gender-neutral name with Native American roots. A variant of Tamanend, this name can connect the baby to the Indigenous group, the Lenni Lenape, who resided in present-day Delaware. In the 17th century, chief Tamanend advocated for peace and notably signed a peace treaty with William Penn. Tammany and Tamanend's meanings are lost to history, but a nice suggestion is "friendly" or "affable," giving the name a warm and welcoming feel.
