Though fans of the Final Fantasy video game franchise will recognize Tifa from the strong and confident character Tifa Lockhart, not much is known about this name's origins. Tifa could be a diminutive of Theophania, a Greek name meaning "divine manifestation," giving Tifa ties to Tiffany.
