Yacine

Yacine is a masculine name that represents two letters in the Arabic alphabet. As a respelling of Yasin, Yacine is formed from the letters ي, pronounced "ya," and س, pronounced "sin." Though these letters have no exact meaning, they appear together at the beginning of the 36th chapter of the Qur’an. They are known as muqatta'at, or "disjointed letters" that are deeply significant in Islamic tradition.
