Bumpin’ and Proud Pregnant Women Takeover Fashion Week: What Do You Think?
Get ready to see some pregnant women werkin'! (Seriously.) Designer Uyo Okebie-Eichelberger, founder of You! Lingerie, a line created for women looking for attractive, comfortable nursing lingerie at an affordable price, totally made heads turn at Lingerie Fashion Week when she put expectant moms on the runway.Founded in 2010, Uyo says that her inspiration came from searching endless for cute nursing bras and being left with two options: unflattering, bland options or overpriced, unaffordable and uncomfortable lingerie. She said, "I was very surprised because so many other breastfeeding moms felt exactly like I did, yet, we were still somewhat living in the stone age as far as design options and affordability were concerned, so I decided to do something about it. I passionately believed in the idea that moms could have the best of both worlds -‐ fashionable and affordable!” And at her Spring/Summer 2014 line debut, that's exactly what she showed off. Moms-to-be at every stage of their pregnancy stormed the stage and showed off just how flawless, beautiful and real their bodies looked in the You! Lingerie line. They looked confident, comfortable and so effortlessly chic. The brand boasts that boring just got reinvented — and it's a motto that all moms (nursing or not), can get behind. Check out how comfortable, fashionable and fabulous these mamas-to-be look struttin' their stuff: What did you wear during your pregnancy to keep you comfortable?
