Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Welcome Surprise 'Miracle' Baby

Gabrielle Union officially joined the mom club!

The actress and her husband, Dwyane Wade, pleasantly surprised fans when they announced the arrival of their first daughter together via surrogate on social media.

“We are sleepless and delirious, but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate, and Nov. 7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl!”

The ecstatic mom also quotes lyrics from Bill Wither’s sweet song “Lovely Day” to share her happiness.

“When I wake up in the mornin’ love/ And the sunlight hurts my eyes/ And there’s something without warning, love/ Bears heavy on my mind/ Then I look at you/ And the world’s alright with me/ Just one look at you/ And I know it’s gonna be/ A lovely day.”

The baby marks Union’s first child, while Wade also has three sons and a nephew whom he also raises. In her 2017 memoir, We’re Going to Need More Wine, the actress goes into detail about her struggle with infertility and reveals she had “eight or nine” miscarriages.
