The countdown is over! A new year is finally here and with it comes a new slate, a new start and maybe even a new baby. For moms and moms-to-be, it’s the perfect time to appreciate all that you’ve accomplished in the last 12 months and set parenting goals for the next 12. If you’re finding yourself in a resolution-setting rut this year, your fellow Bumpies are here to motivate you. They’re keeping the celebration going and sharing their resolutions for the action-packed year ahead.

“I will be present and enjoy the snuggles and little moments instead of waiting for what’s next.”

“I promise not to beat myself up about the changes in my body, and focus instead on the little human I made.

“I usually don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I’m hoping to be better about laundry this year…”

“I will learn to keep the house clean for more than 20 minutes!

“My resolution is to not set any resolutions! I’ll do me FOR LIFE”

“I want to start prenatal yoga and actually keep up with it!”

“I resolve to finish at least one pregnancy book without getting annoyed and throwing it away.”

“I think I finally need to bust out my Rosetta Stone and learn another language, already! (It’d be pretty cool to be able to have a bilingual baby!)”

“This year, I will work on being confident in my new skin. I want to accept that being toned and being on a rigorous diet has a time and place (and now is neither of those for me.)”

“I resolve to wait till my kids are asleep to post on social media and The Bump!

“My resolution is to live a bit more unfiltered. I have heard too many friends in 2015 comparing themselves to other parents on social media. I try to remember people post their highlights, and not necessarily everything in between.”

“No matter what happens this year, I promise to be an awesome mommy to an awesome little boy (who isn’t born yet, but let’s face it, he’s going to be awesome.)"

Let us know what you’re resolving to do in 2016 in the comments!
