Target Has Recalled 480,000 Units of Infant Rompers and Swimsuits
Target has recalled 480,000 combined units of infant rompers and swimsuits for babies and toddlers. Both recalls were announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Target on December 30, 2020.
According to the alert, about 299,000 units of Cloud Island infant rompers were recalled. Target received 16 reports of the snaps on the rompers breaking, detaching or being missing. One of these reports mentioned scratches to the child, while another mentioned a child being pinched.
The rompers were sold at Target stores across the country and online at Target.com, as well as on GoogleExpress.com and Shipt.com from July 2019 through October 2020. The retail price was about $10 for one romper and $11 to $12 for a 2-pack rompers set. The CPSC advises affected customers to return the recalled rompers, a complete list of which can be find in the recall alert, to Target for a full refund.
The retailer and CPSC also issued a recall for about 181,000 Cat & Jack Infant-Toddler One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuits on December 30, 2020 due to 27 reports of the snaps breaking or detaching, including one report of laceration. These suits were sold at Target stores across the country and at Target.com from December 2019 through October 2020 for approximately $15. The CPSC recommends consumers take the recalled swimsuits, a complete list of which is available in the alert back to Target for a full refund or to get in touch with Target for a prepaid return label.
