Can an Orgasm Help Me Get Pregnant?
Does having an orgasm during sex boost my odds of getting pregnant?
There’s a certain school of thought that holds that having an orgasm during sex will increase your chance of conception because the hormone oxytocin (released in peak levels after you’ve reached the big O) can cause uterine contractions that push the sperm toward the egg a little faster. Unfortunately, there’s no real medical evidence to support the claim. By and large, most sperm do perfectly fine on their own, no help necessary. Of course, having an orgasm during sex certainly makes things a lot more fun, so relax and enjoy.
