Your Baby Is 37 Weeks Old!

Baby's becoming more aware of what's going on when she's in an unfamiliar environment or with someone besides you or your partner — good news in terms of cognitive development, but a little rougher in the separation anxiety department. Pack familiar toys, books, and security objects when you travel to help soothe and distract baby through the stress of a new environment. Sticking as close as possible to baby's normal routine will further smooth the adjustment.

Growing up
It’s time for baby’s nine-month checkup! This appointment won’t be too different from her previous visits — the doc will measure baby’s growth and perform simple tests to evaluate her development.

To-do:

[tip]  If you’re bottle feeding, limit baby’s daily intake to 16 to 24 ounces of formula or breastmilk. If she still wants more to drink, offer water.
