Lettice is a unique feminine name, rarely given, though filled with much promise. A variant of Letitia, Lettice comes from the Latin lætitia, meaning “joy” or “happiness.” Interestingly, Lettice is the very first iteration of the ancient name, coming to life in Medieval England. Lettice could be chosen as an homage to the Roman goddess of happiness, Laetitia, or Saint Leticia.
