Prue

Prue is a diminutive form of the name Prudence, which derives from the Latin prudentia meaning “caution” or “discretion.” Prudence was classically considered to be one of the four Cardinal virtues, as it’s associated with good judgement, practical wisdom, and foresight. All great traits for baby to have! In classic art, you’ll often see the virtue personified as a woman called Prudentia with a mirror and a snake. Prue has an appealing vintage feel, and brings to mind the classic song “Dear Prudence” by The Beatles.
