Raylan

Raylan is a gender-neutral name of American origin. The first half of this name, Ray, derives from the Germanic name Raginmund, which was translated to Raimund or Raymond in Old French. Raginmund combines the word ragin, meaning “advice, counsel” or “wise,” with mund, meaning “hand.” Raylan takes the classic name Ray and adds the popular suffix -lan to the end to give the name a modern feel.
