Siria

During the early 1900s, many beautiful respellings of the boy's name, Sirius, cropped up, including the more feminine Siria. It's a moniker that's fallen into obscurity since the '70s but is surely gearing up for a revival! Siria has roots in both Spanish and Persian and means "glowing" and "sun-bright." As astronomy fans will attest, its closest relative is the brightest star in the night sky, known as Sirius or the Dog Star. It's also a hair away from Syria, which your little one will confidently remind them is siriously different!
