We love a good hack. And while, admittedly, buying a nursing bra might be easier than this one, if you have a lot of old, ratty bras, it’s worth a shot.

Plus, it was designed specifically with working moms in mind, allowing them to pump hands-free to get things done.

Want to give it a go? Step-by-step instructions are below. And if you need to throw in the towel, we have plenty of nursing bra recommendations here.

  1. Remove the straps from two old bras
  2. Collect four straps
  3. Use the strap adjustment to create a loop on the first strap. Repeat with the second strap
  4. Insert the third strap into the loops created on the first and second straps
  5. Link the hooks of the third and fourth straps
  6. Put it on!
  7. Hook the first and second straps up around your neck
  8. Slip the pump flanges into the loops you created with the first two straps
  9. Adjust the flanges appropriately
  10. Connect to your pump and start pumping
