Paris Hilton is tackling some of the stinkier parts of being a mom.

In a new episode of Paris in Love the hotel heiress and new mom of two revealed that she still didn’t know how to change her son Phoenix’s diaper over a month after his arrival.

“Should I learn how to change his diaper?” Paris asks sister, Nicky Hilton. “I said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday, but I will for you. Anything for Phoenix.”

“Okay, I’m scared,” the new mom says as she sets Phoenix on a changing table. “You’ve never done it?” Nicky asks, to which Paris says no. The mom of two then gets a lesson from her sister, 40, and her nanny on how to change a diaper, from locating the front and back to ensuring that it isn’t too tight.

Noting that Paris wasn’t ever one to talk about having a baby, Nicky later talks in a confessional about how it’s time for Paris to deal with more of the realities of being a mom. “Motherhood, you’ve got to get your hands a little bit dirty,” Nicky notes.

In a clip posted to TikTok, commenters were quick to react to Paris’ diaper change revelation. “I’m sorry…what. I don’t wanna sound like I’m mom shaming but come onnnn A MONTH?!? Even my husband changed a diaper after a day,” added another. Overall several parents echoed the sentiment that it was due time the celebrity mom tackled diaper duty.

Paris Hilton Shares How She Surprised Her Family with Baby London’s Arrival

Hilton didn’t just take fans by surprise with the announcement of baby number two, she had a big reveal planned for her family as well.

In an interview with Live with Kelly and Mark on November 28, the hotel heiress shared the sweet story of her family reveal over Thanksgiving. “Thanksgiving was amazing,” Hilton recounted. “Of course, that’s when I surprised the whole family with London!”

“Pass the turkey, here’s London,” Co-host Mark Consuelos joked.

“It was before the turkey. This was around like 5 o’clock at night and Carter got everyone in the living room,” she explained. “He’s like, ‘Oh, I have a surprise.’ Everyone thought a magician was coming, like, ‘We have a performer coming in!’ Everyone’s so excited and then I just walk in carrying a pink blanket with the baby and everybody is sitting there like, ‘What?!’”

Kelly Ripa then turns to her husband and jokes, “We were at the wrong Thanksgiving!” The Paris in Love star added that “everyone couldn’t believe it. It was the best Thanksgiving of my life.”

Paris Hilton Welcomes Baby No. 2

Hilton subtly revealed the addition of a baby girl and son, Phoenix’s younger sister, on November 24. “Thankful for my baby girl,” the new mom of two simply captioned a photo featuring an adorable pink outfit with the name London on it. “Congratulations!!! We can’t WAIT to meet baby London!!! We love you!!!” commented Kris Jenner. “OMG my heart just exploded! I am so excited for you both,” added celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe.

Despite surprising friends and fans with her newest addition, the socialite revealed her plans for her future daughter’s name earlier this year. “It’s my favorite city, and I’ve always wanted to name my daughter London,” Hilton said on an episode of her podcast. “I had actually picked that name for a long time now, probably over 10 years. I always wanted London. I love that name for my daughter.”

On Friday, Hilton confirmed with the Associated Press that she and husband Carter Reum had indeed welcomed her baby girl via surrogate. Open about her difficult IVF journey, the 42-year-old talked with People about how she and her husband had begun the IVF process during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We started going and doing it like a few months in because the world was shut down,” she said. “We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, ‘This is perfect timing. Usually I’m on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let’s just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,’ and we have tons of them just waiting.”

Paris Hilton Welcomes Her First Baby Via Surrogate

The hotel heiress went on to welcome her first baby via surrogate in late January. Hilton posted a photo of her son’s fingers wrapped around her own on Instagram with the simple caption, “You are already loved beyond words.”

While Hilton opened up about her IVF experience and her desire to become a parent, she largely kept her journey to motherhood a secret. The starlet didn’t share her decision to pursue surrogacy or the news that she was expecting prior to her son’s birth.

“It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other,” Hilton told People. “We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”

During an episode of her iHeartRadio podcast, This Is Paris, the hotel heiress revealed the name of her baby boy to be Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum.

The author and entrepreneur shared that she had actually come up with the name a decade earlier and reflected on the story while reading an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir, Paris.

“If all goes well, by the time you read this, Carter and I will have a baby boy. We plan to name him Phoenix, a name that I decided on years ago when I was searching cities, countries and states on a map looking for something to go with Paris and London,” Hilton said.

Our congratulations to Hilton and Reum on their new daughter!
