Your Baby Is 33 Weeks Old!

As baby's dexterity and mobility improve, it becomes even more important to make sure she's kept away from sharp corners and open outlets. Once your home's been thoroughly baby-proofed, though, it's time to take a step back. Let baby creep, crawl, pull herself up, and yes, take some spills — baby needs to take a tumble or two in order to learn how to walk.

Acting like a baby
Words and actions are starting to make sense to baby. If you take something from her before she’s ready to give it up or she hears the word “no,” she might start crying or contesting. Try to distract her and offer comfort, but hold your ground on whatever initially caused her distress — uncomfortable as it may be for both of you, this is all a part of his learning process.

To-do:

[tip]  If you suspect baby has something dangerous in her mouth, use your thumb and forefinger from one hand to squeeze her cheeks, and sweep the object out of her mouth with a hooked finger from your other hand.
