Thurayya

Just as the star cluster their name describes has been observed and followed for centuries, sweet Thurayya's inner light and joy will be admired by many. A feminine title, Thurayya has Arabic origins, translating to "the Pleiades." Found in the constellation of Taurus, the Pleiades is an open cluster of young stars also known as Messier 45 or Seven Sisters. Only six or seven of the cluster's 1,000 stars can be seen with the naked eye, but their small number still illuminates the skies. Many ancient civilizations associated the Pleiades with the seasons, as they rise during spring mornings and set during autumn mornings. When your Thurayya first notices how the sky brightens at night, you can tell them that they've been brightening your world every day of their life.
