Once again, actress Gabrielle Union has emerged as a champion of positivity, helping many parents see the importance of building self-confidence in their young children. This week Union and her 4-year-old daughter went viral after sharing an adorable video on Instagram featuring the two of them reciting affirmations to each other in front of a mirror.

In the video, Union and Kaavia take turns saying positive affirmations.“Tell me what you love about your hair,” Union begins. “I love my beautiful hair,” Kaavia replies. Union goes on to list some things she also loves about herself including her “full lips” and freckles. Kaavia chimes in that she appreciates her “beautiful skin,” and eyes.

After sharing a few physical traits, the Proudly founder and her daughter did a little deeper. “I am strong,” Kaavia declares. “I am worthy.” “You are worthy!” Union agrees. The exercise ends with Union and Kaavia exclaiming in unison, “I’m so beautiful!”

Union has been open about her struggles with self-esteem and body image in the past, and her desire to instill a sense of confidence and self-love in her daughter is truly inspiring. The video has received tons of positive feedback from fans, who love seeing the mother-daughter pair interact and support each other. “This baby is growing up wonderfully,” commented one user, “Kaavia is the affirmation coach I needed. Just canceled Canyon Ranch,” added another.
