Eight years and two babies ago, Pam Ginocchio threw her friend Melisa Fluhr a baby shower in her living room. And last Monday, and the Project Nursery founders were at it again. But this time, the venue was a little different and we were invited!
Alongside host and fellow mom Rosie Pope, we joined Pam in surprising Melisa with a baby shower luncheon at the Mondrian Soho. Okay, it wasn’t technically a surprise — Melisa found out a week ago. But that didn’t make the shower — planned by Rock Paper Scissors Events — any less fabulous.
Complete with Minted decor and florals by Cristina Lozito, the gorgeous shower was tailor-made for welcoming a baby girl. Since this will be the first girl for Melisa, designing a new nursery was definitely top of mind. And that’s where we, the lucky guests, came in: we got to work on #projectbabygirl, choosing from various styles of baby accessories and furniture and creating inspiration boards. The winning design? Melisa went for the gold — as in, a gold-themed nursery.
Lucky for Melisa, Amazon.com is helping her get a jump start on filling that nursery: they surprised her by gifting her everything on her Amazon baby registry wish list. And one very lucky Project Nursery reader will win the same items on Melisa’s registry. Head over to here for details.
