All this bending over to pick up the objects baby keeps dropping on the floor has to be good exercise for you, right? It is for baby, at least. He loves repetition and is fascinated by the sounds different objects make when banged together or dropped.

Ahead of the class
Baby’s starting to understand that objects have certain functions — a phone is for talking, a sponge is for cleaning, and a cup is for drinking. Interactive activity centers make great toys for him right now, but anything that he can bang, shake, open, and explore will capture his attention and help him learn.

To-do:

[tip]  Prevent baby from choking on solids by cutting firmer items into pea-sized chunks and softer foods into marble-sized pieces.
