Amiri

Amiri is a boy’s name with Hebrew origins. Meaning “prince” or “treetop” the name Amiri is very popular within Māori culture and refers to the wind that blows from east to west. In 2011, there was a New Zealand film called Amiri & Aroha which is a modern interpretation of “Romeo and Juliet.” Luckily for us though, we know baby won’t play out such a tragic story as that; he’ll be too busy climbing up to the canopy to see what the world has to offer him!
