Amy Schumer’s Delayed Response to Jennifer Lawrence’s Text Is All Too Relatable

Find me a new mom who isn’t guilty of receiving a text from a friend, but not answering until hours—or days—later. We’ve all been there. And now, so has Amy Schumer.

Schumer had fans cracking up after sharing a ‘SOS’ text from BFF Jennifer Lawrence. The Hunger Games actress texted the new mom in urgent need of help remembering what went down in season one of The Handmaid’s Tale. After her back-to-back texts resulted in radio silence, Lawrence was quick to rag on her friend.

Here’s a look at how the (one-sided) conversation went (Warning: The Handmaid’s Tale spoilers ahead):
Lawrence: You up? I have questions about Handmaid’s Tale
Lawrence: It’s an emergency
Lawrence: Amy!!! What did she do on season one to deserve to deserve being in the gallows on season two?
Lawrence: I can’t remember where I left off. Are you asleep because of the baby??? Are you asleep before 11? Is this because of the baby? Don’t make me resent the baby
Lawrence: Wow
Lawrence: You’re really asleep before 11. I’ll be damned

Fear not, Schumer wasn’t asleep. She eventually answers back, but we can all assume she was busy doing one of many things for her newborn son—soothing, feeding, changing, the list goes on and on. The comedian couldn’t help but share the exchange on social media, where she jokingly writes, “everybody keeping their cool about me having a baby.”

Schumer gave birth to her firstborn with husband Chris Fischer in May. The comedian was super-open about her struggles with hyperemesis gravidarum while she was pregnant, and in the short time she’s been a parent, she’s already come to the conclusion that “women are f*cking warriors.” Can’t argue that logic!
