Modern dads are pushing for a better work-life balance than ever before, and these top companies are stepping up to the plate to give them what they need. Increased flexibility, more paid time off and better childcare benefits are just a few of the things companies have committed to providing dads so they can be their best on and off the clock.

To be considered for Seramount’s (formerly Working Mother Media) Best Companies for Dads lis, companies had to fill out an application that included more than 400 questions on leave policies, benefits, childcare, flexibility, employee resource groups and more.

All applicants receive feedback showing how they compare with other applicants; however, the names of applicants that do not make the list are kept confidential.

According to the survey, these are 2021’s Top 10 Companies for Dads:

  1. Bank of America
  2. Citrix Systems
  3. Deloitte
  4. Ernst & Young (EY)
  5. Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco
  6. Goldman Sachs
  7. International Business Machines Corporation (IBM)
  8. Johnson & Johnson
  9. Merck
  10. Moody’s

Overall, 100 companies were awarded the designation of Best Companies for Dads. Eighty-eight percent of the winners offer fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave compared to 63 percent of winners in 2020. The remaining 12 percent offer fully paid paternity leave. The award-winning companies also went the extra mile for Dad by increasing mental health coverage, increasing childcare reimbursements and giving employees extra time off.

As time goes on, hopefully, more companies will listen to the needs of working dads and make changes to their workplaces. See the full list of Best Companies for Dad here.
