UPS Driver Works With Mom to Help Her ‘Hide’ Amazon Orders From Husband
When it comes to Amazon Prime shopping, what your partner doesn’t know won’t kill them. One UPS delivery truck driver with a great sense of humor is helping a mom keep her shopping addiction from her husband. Well, sort of.
Alexis Thomas took full advantage of the sales on sales on sales during this year’s Amazon Prime Day. Can you blame her? With insanely discounted prices on STEM toys, diapers and so many other must-have items, it only made sense to keep adding to your cart. But the aftermath of her shopping spree started to set in as the packages began to pile up. “Once the packages started coming in, my husband joked that I was out of control,” she tells CafeMom.
Thomas, who CafeMom says is a military mom of four, realized she was going to have to get a little stealthy. The mom jokingly updated her UPS account to include instructions for the delivery driver to help her hide her packages from her husband. After making that minor adjustment, Thomas pretty much forgot about it altogether. That is, until she got an email letting her know her package had been delivered. “When I got an email with proof of delivery, I was like ‘Oh okay,’ she explains to CafeMom. “So I walk out to the front door and was so dumbfounded at first. Then I saw the note and I was uncontrollably laughing.”
When she stepped outside to get the package, the big, bulky box was “hidden” under the welcome mat. “I hid your package from your husband. They are under the rug,” the note left behind by the UPS driver states.
Thomas couldn’t help but share the hilarious turn of events with her Facebook friends. Since she uploaded the picture of the package and note on the front steps, the post has quickly become a viral sensation. Many parents can relate to the shopping craze, and have tagged friends and partners in the comment section. Because, let’s be real, we’ve all been there, right?!
