Pin It! 10 Inspiring Celeb Baby Showers of 2014
Alyssa Milano
The _Mistresses _actress celebrated the impending arrival of her baby girl Elizabella with a sweet, floral-themed shower in August. MIlano and her guests wore flower crowns and ate light Italian dishes at the Los Angeles-based bash.
Guests also decorated onesies that served as colorful decor.
What’s the next best thing for a butterfly to land on after a flower? A gorgeous cupcake, of course!
Blake Lively
Actress-turned-lifestyle maven Blake Lively posted photos of her rustic and whimsical fall baby shower on her Preserve websitein October. The event was gender neutral, since she and Ryan Reynolds are keeping their baby’s gender a surprise.
With Lively and her guests dressed in their coziest fall finest, they celebrated outdoors with a gorgeous tiered staircase cake.
We love that Lively received classic, old-school gifts, like these wooden toys.
Danielle Jonas
Designed by celebrity event planner Michael Russo, Danielle and Kevin Jonas’s Mary Poppins-themed extravaganza was playful and cheerful. From the striped invitations to the pink chevron tablecloths, it was the perfect way to celebrate the impending arrival of baby girl Alena Rose.
Alas, umbrella-shaped centerpieces didn’t come with magical nannies.
Her colorful cake, however, included silhouettes of the famous, flying nanny.
Jonas’s adorable baby clothing display also doubled as bright decor.
Gwen Stefani
Stefani debuted her third baby bump with a dazzling blue gown on the red carpet, so it only made sense that her baby shower for Apollo Bowie Flynn incorporated different shades of the hue too.
The blue and cream-colored shower, designed by celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks, was held at the posh Hotel Bel-Air. Sweet treats included blue-frosted doughnuts and candy.
Delicate white roses and tea candles made gorgeous centerpieces.
Kaley Cuoco
Since nobody throws a party quite like Cuoco, the star was thrilled to host the most luxurious baby shower for her longtime makeup artist and best friend, Jamie Greenberg. She’s expecting a boy named Simon (who had his name carved into an ice sculpture!).
Not only was there a spa station with masseuses and manicurists, but there was also a lounge area for pampered guests who wore customized waffle robes, of course.
Gold and white cookies shaped like baby bottles, onesies and rattles added another glam touch to the extravagant affair.
The highlight of the shower? An incredible gold and white giraffe cake.
Kourtney Kardashian
The eldest Kardashian celebrated the upcoming birth of her second baby boy (and third child) with a stylish Breakfast at Tiffany’s-themed baby shower. Thrown by sisters Kim and Khloe, the Kardashian family and their friends gathered at the Conservatory at the Montage for an elegant Tiffany-blue brunch.
Besides munching on sweet breakfast treats like croissants and fruit, the mom-to-be channeled Audrey Hepburn with a sparkly tiara worn backwards.
And from fancy to rolling right out of bed, Kardashian celebrated with friends at another, much more low-key baby shower: a pajama party at IHOP! This time she swapped her LBD and girly tiara for a cozy red hoodie and a pair of fuzzy devil horns.
While Kardashian’s friends supplied a pretty white cake and candy table decor, she still went for a signature IHOP hot chocolate topped off with a dollop of whipped cream.
Rebecca Minkoff
When fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff and her husband Gavin Bellour celebrated the impending arrival of baby girl Bowie Lou, the cheese aficionados went for an unexpected (yet totally stylish) Gouda-themed shower.
The shower was held at Fitzcaraldo and showcased the rustic Brooklyn venue’s casual outdoor seating and whimsical lighting.
Cheerful blue and lavender “Baby Gouda” decor matched the equally cute (and non-cheesy!) Gouda gift bags.
Savannah Guthrie
When TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie and her husband Mike announced they were expecting baby girl Vale, what was more fitting than a newspaper-themed shower? All of the NBC ladies came to celebrate and were camera-ready with fun props.
Striped straws livened up cute mocktails served at the bash.
Adorable overload! Sushi appetizers hung out with rubber duckies on polka-dot serving trays.
How amazing is this? Instead of serving dessert on a table, Guthrie’s shower featured a wall of hanging donuts.
Kendra Wilkinson
In anticipation of her second baby (and first girl) Alijah Mary, Wilkinson had a “sprinkle” produced by Good Carma Studio at a friend’s residence. She was also gifted with a POSH Mommy personalized “We Love You Mommy” necklace during the party.
Wilkinson also received a tower of Stride Rite kicks for Alijah.
The pretty springtime decor included a decorated picket fence and creatively-displayed pastel flowers and candy.
Guests enjoyed sweet sips and pink sugared rums from a drink station featuring Mabel’s Labels’ decor.
