Hilarious Video Captures What 'Alone Time' Is for Parents With a Toddler
A couple’s relationship must learn to adapt when a newborn arrives. Remember those intimate moments scattered sporadically throughout the week? Or the lazy Sundays spent cozied up on the couch? When baby comes, those simple but sweet instances will become pretty rare.
One Canadian couple can tell you all about this. Adiya Ali posted a video to her Facebook page, which shows she and her partner casually sitting on the floor folding clothes. Their rambunctious toddler saw their parents sitting together and was not at all having it.
“The most edible haddi in our kabab! Watch the reaction of our very jealous cherry berry,” the mom captions the video.
In the clip, the baby shows her annoyance by letting out cries of frustration. When that doesn’t work, she takes matters into her own hands. The adorable toddler crawls across the floor to reach her parents in record time, and then uses her father as a human ladder to wedge herself between the two.
The little girl is not shy about pushing her parents out of the way to make room for herself, and only rests once her mission is complete. Like many couples navigating the world of parenting, Ali and her husband can’t help but laugh at the situation.
And can you blame them? The home video has gone viral, with many commenting on the funny family affair.
“OMG my kids do this all the time! It’s so cute!,” one mom relates.
“Adorable and hilarious. Enni bear has been doing that too. I can’t even hug her brothers,” jokes another mom.
Once baby comes, alone time may become a foreign idea for you and your partner, but it also brings even better family experiences. Before your newborn is here, make sure you both sit down to discuss how to prepare your relationship for baby’s arrival.
