Peg Perego Recalls Tatamia 3-in-1 High Chairs, Recliners and Swings
Peg Perego has recalled close to a thousand of its Tatamia 3-in-1 High Chairs, Recliners and Swings. Find out why and what to do if you have a recalled chair here.
Why is Peg Perego recalling its Tatamia 3-in-1 High Chairs, Recliners and Swings?
Peg Perego is recalling its Tatamia 3-in-1 High Chairs, Recliners and Swings in accordance with the CPSC’s Safe Sleep Act. The legislation, which was signed into law in May 2022, bans the sale, manufacture or distribution of inclined sleepers and crib bumpers for babies.
Peg Perego’s Tatamia products violate the act’s requirement that all baby swings or rockers marketed for sleep must have an incline of less than 10 degrees. Products with an incline greater than 10 degrees can pose a significant suffocation risk to babies. Additionally, the Tatamia 3-in-1 High Chairs and Recliners fail to meet mandatory high chair warning requirements, posing both a suffocation and fall hazard. So far, no accidents have been reported in connection with the chairs.
How do I know if my high chair is affected by the recall?
Recalled Tatamia 3-in-1 High Chairs, Recliners, and Swings were sold online at Peg Perego, Amazon, Target and other websites from November 2022 through January 2025. To determine if your high chair is affected, check the manufacturing date and model number label on the base of the product. If the chair was manufactured on or after June 23, 2022, it may be included in the recall.
What should I do if my high chair is recalled?
The CPSC is urging parents to immediately stop using the recalled high chairs. Peg Perego is offering full refunds to parents with affected chairs.
