Game: Do You Know What It Is?
What you need: 10-15 paper bags, 10-15 baby items, paper and pen for each guest
How to play: Put one baby item into the bags and number them 1-10, or 15. Randomly pass them out to the guests. The guests must try to figure out what is in each bag without opening them. Once everyone has guessed all bags, the mother-to-be will open each bag and reveal what is inside. Whoever guessed the most right is the winner.
Game: Baby Shower Memory Game
What you need: Paper and pen
How to play: Have the mother-to-be walk around and say hi to all the guests, then go into another room. Once there, all the guests must write down what she was wearing. Whoever remembers the most wins.
Game: Guess Her Age
What you need: Several pictures of the mother-to-be, all at different ages, pens, paper
How to play: Have the guests look at the pictures of the mother-to-be and guess how old she was in each picture. Whoever gets the most right wins.
Game: How Many Safety Pins?
What you need: Jar and safety pins
How to play: Fill jar with safety pins. Pass the jar around to all the guests and let them guess how many pins are in the jar. The guest who is closest wins. As an alternative, fill a large container with diapers, instead.
Game: Guess Mommy’s Tummy Size
What you need: String or yarn and scissors
How to play: Let every guest cut a piece of string the size they think the mother-to-be is. Once everyone is done compare the strings to the center of the mother-to-be’s tummy. Whoever is the closest is the winner.
Game: Guess the Gerber
What you need: 10-15 jars of baby food with the labels peeled off
How to play: Pass the jars around to all the guests. By only smelling the food, the guests must try to identify what is in each of the jars. Whoever gets the most is the winner.
Game: Purse Scavenger Hunt
What you need: Each guest needs their own purse/bag, list of items commonly found in purses and items that would be uncommon
How to play: A list is handed out to everyone with various items normally found in purses and items rarely found in them. Example: the invitation to this shower, an overdue utility bill, any form of birth control, key chain with a baby picture, picture of a pet, expired voters registration card, grocery list, grocery receipt with toilet paper purchase. Assign a point system. Grocery list may only be worth one point, where a baby rattle is worth 10! Whichever guest gets the most points in the end wins.
Game: Find The Safety Pins
What you need: Bowl filled with rice, small safety pins, blindfold
How to play: Once the guest is blindfolded they must try to pull out as many safety pins from the bowl as they can in 1 minute. Whoever gets the most wins.
