Parents are being urged to check their children’s toys after more than 3.2 million of the popular Calico Critters toys have been recalled due to a potential choking hazard. If you are unsure whether your child’s Calico Critters toy is part of the recall, here’s what you need to know.

Why has the recall been issued?

The recall has been issued after two children tragically died while playing with the Calico Critters toys. The small, detachable pacifier and bottle accessories pose a choking hazard to young children.

How do I know if my product is affected by the recall?

If you bought Calico Critters animal figures or sets with bottle and pacifier accessories from major retailers or online from 2018 to 2023, they might be affected by the recall. The recalled toys have the Epoch label on the bottom, along with the date code of either WF4B19, WF4C19, WF4D19, or WF4E19.

What should I do if my product is recalled?

If you own a Calico Critters toy that has been affected by the recall, the Consumer Product Safety Commission advises parents to take the recalled toy away from children immediately and contact Epoch Everlasting Play for a full refund or replacement toy.
