Purchasing power is real, especially on Giving Tuesday. Created in 2012 by the 92Y, the mission of today is to help build a kinder world. While it’s grown into a global phenomenon, the heart of the mission remains as simple as promoting generosity. “Our mission is to build a more just and generous world,” their website reads. “Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.”

Even past today, the mission of celebrating generosity is one that’s great to keep in mind as we close out 2022. As you check off your shopping list this holiday, consider shopping at a retailer who supports an organization or charity that helps those in need.
