What Will Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Name Baby No. 3? Our Predictions!

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting their third child together, and we can’t wait to see what cool name they pick for the newest member of their crew.

No strangers to unique names, the “Fashion Killa” pair introduced the world to baby RZA in 2022, the namesake of the Wu-Tang Clan rapper of the same acronym. He explained to Genius, “R is for Rakeem; Z is for Zigzag because I was on the right path, went the wrong way… but then got back on the right path towards God; the A is for Allah, which is an Arabic word that they translate as God.”

RZA is a historic icon in the rap scene and one of the core members of the Wu-Tang Clan. Many artists have been influenced by his work—and clearly Rihanna and A$AP Rocky fall into that category.

In 2023, the musical duo welcomed baby Riot into the world. This plucky, punchy name has a wealth of character and refers to a “tumult” or “uproar.” Rihanna told Harper’s Bazaar that it was none other than Pharrell Williams who suggested the name Riot, likely inspired by the collab he did with Rocky for the song “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n)”. Not only is Riot said to live up to his energetic name, but this apropos choice also speaks to how Rocky and Rihanna make waves in the fashion and music industries.

So what name will they choose for their third baby?

A$AP Rocky confirmed that they want to stick with the R theme (his birth name is Rakim) during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers—so that’s our first clue.

That said, the couple also told Joe Tacopina, A$AP’s lawyer, that baby No. 3 would be named “A$AP Joe” in honor of him helping the rap artist get acquitted of a felony assault charge. Could their name choice be an R-spelling variant of Joe or Tacopina? He’s famously known as “Big Taco” in the legal scene, so that could serve as inspiration too.

Of course, going by the couple’s history of choosing rap artist names and song titles, their next choice may very well be inspired by music again. The site Vegas Insider ran some stats based on both artists’ song lyrics and predicts that Rebel will be the dynamic duo’s top name choice.

Until their much-anticipated third babe arrives, we’ll just have to wait and see!
